the streets of Africa

There is mud, trash, dust, and everyother thing on the ground here! And yet I love it.. We walked for an hour today out to a school, we had visited on thursday already! It is in the slums.. the alleys are skinny little paths between tin and whatever material they can find to build a hut like thing.. these paths are always muddy and there are huge puddles, you do a lot of jumping.. Some people look graceful while doing this .. i do not! For anyone who knows me only a little , i am quite klutzy, and bring much amusement to the Africans and the way i fling my arms about to keep my balance! : ) I even have my favorite kids now, and wish i could take them all home with me.. I took a lot of pictures today, but have no way of putting them on the computer till we get home. The family we are staying with for this week, are so sweet and kind , i have never met with such hospitality before!
We walked thru a herd of cows today, and on thursday it was goats, they walk right down the middles of the street! We had a guy walk by us holding a pair of pants, and held them out and sayed i have your size , you buy? they are so funny how they try to get us to buy things! They think so differently! but oh, i love it!! My swahili is getting better, but still makes everybody laugh, when i completly mess up the words! : ) oh, my.. i am so in love with Africa! it seems like nothing will ever be the same again.. I am going to get my hair braided right before i come home with extensions.. so that will be interesting, and i am getting much browner! <3>
Monday we go to Tanzania from Kenya on a bus, it will take 5 hours, we put our luggage on the top of the bus! I feel like I am in a movie, and there is somene hiding in the bushes videoing me.. cause it all seems so unreal! sigh.. well i'm going to scoot! hope you all aren't missing me to much ;) haha right...
